Time of Day to Do Your Practice

Choose a time of day to do your practice. It should ideally be at the same time each day. That may be over lunch break, when you first wake up, or in the evening after dinner when you are winding down for bedtime.
You can also choose to do your practice twice a day, which can work well for people who experience a lot of daytime stress, so you can start and end your day with training the brain’s relaxation response for quicker results.
If you are not sure which to choose, start with practicing after dinner, as part of your pre-bedtime wind-down routine. This time of day has the additional benefit of helping you sleep better over time too by relaxing the brain and nervous system.
