The history of the RR-Video
History of the RR
The RR was discovered in the 1970s by renowned Harvard professor and doctor, author and researcher Dr Herbert Benson, who was also the founder of the world-leading Benson-Henry Institute for Mind–Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr Benson studied the RR for over forty years and noticed that people who were able to turn on their RR were less susceptible to the ‘bad’ type of stress – meaning that any stress didn’t seem to affect them as much or ‘stress them out.’ Activating the RR creates a stress buffer zone.
