Change Oil, Keep Same THC:CBD Ratio – 30 days

Lamey Gomez-Vega · 26 October 2022

This experiment involves changing to a different cannabis oil but choosing one with a similar THC:CBD ratio to the one you use currently. You do this for 30 days. This can mean changing brands or producers or choosing an oil made from a specific strain that is different to the one you use now.
You will take your scores before you start and then again in 30 days to see how it worked for you. The reasons for changing oils can be to see how a different strain/chemovar or producers product affects you, due to differences in minor cannabinoids, terpenes and other plant compounds and even how the oil is made. For example, you may need a high THC strain to get the desired effect, but one strain may make you feel a bit sleepy or ‘foggy.’ You may try changing to a more uplifting strain to help increase energy and improve clarity, but still with the same THC effect. In multiple studies on medical cannabis for epilepsy, changing the oil strain or chemovar even with the same THC% and CBD% resulted in differences in how well that oil controlled seizures. An oil is a long-acting form of cannabis. Many people take an oil 1-2x/day depending on what they use it for.
How much oil you take and how often you take it is up to you. This experiment will also show you how the amount you used over the course of the month so you can see your usage pattern too. This will be shown at the end of your experiment in the results section.
