Counter ‘Worrying is Helpful’

When you find yourself worrying, thank your brain for alerting you to this potential threat but that you have it handled and can release the worry now. Worrying about this further does not lead to a more positive outcome. Sometimes worry can serve the purpose of relieving guilt or provide comfort that you are ‘doing something’ but this is just wasted mental energy.
